Description

Mindfulness skills for eating disorder urges
This four-lesson course introduces mindfulness and how it can be used to notice, understand and respond to urges related to eating. Each lesson includes video, written content and audio practices you can return to.
What you’ll learn:
• Mindfulness foundations: what mindfulness is, and how it applies to food, emotions and urges.
• Identifying urges: common urges related to eating problems, and mindfulness techniques for responding to them.
• Mindfulness in daily life: ways to bring present-moment awareness into everyday routines.
• Emotional awareness and coping: noticing difficult emotions and using mindful coping strategies.
• Mindful eating: an introduction to mindful eating practices.
Mindfulness is a skill that takes practice, and people respond differently. Many people find these skills most useful alongside support from a treating professional.
